Life of Pi

The book Life of Pi is a novel that was written by Yann Martel. Yann Martel published this book in 2001 and it was published in Canada by Random House of Canada and it was first U.S edition. The book has 319 pages and this novel won a Gold Man Booker Prize. This novel was about a boy named Piscine Patel. When he went to school he wanted everyone to call him Pi. He is a son of a zookeeper and his whole family is religions. His religion is Christian and Islam his whole family is from India. This novel is about a kid named Piscine Patel and at his age of sixteen his family and their zoo animal emigrate from India to North America aboard a Japanese cargo ship. Then the boat sinks and his companies are a zebra, a hyena, an orangutan, and a 450 pounds tiger. That’s all he has in the life boat with him. After the novel continues his only left with Richard Parker the tiger.
The main characters of this novel are Piscine Patel and Richard Parker. The minor characters of the novel are Pi’s father, Pi’s mother, Ravi, Satish Kumar, Mr. Satish Kumar, father Martin, Tomohiro Okamoto, and Atsuro Chiba. Well Pi and Richard Parker travel a lot from India to Canada and from Canada to México. They travel in a boat by there self so they new a lot of stuff about them self’s. Pi and Richard Parker had a lot of problem because they didn’t have a lot of food for a lot of days. Another problem that they had was that Pi had to go to the water and a shark was about to kill him, but Richard Parker the tiger help him by hitting the shark in his mouth with his claw. My favorite character of this novel was Pi because since Pi is the main character of the novel I had the chances to know him more than everyone else and me and him have a lot of things in comment like for example, “Bananas don’t float.” There are asking him a question and he is trying to get away with it by changing the subject and this is what I always do with my family because I want to get away with some question’s sometimes not all the time.
My opinion of this novel is that is very good and I like it because it had a lot of adventure and because it’s cool to learn about a novel and how a human could get a long with a tiger. My favorite part of the novel is when Richard Parker saves Pi because I really like the way that Richard Parker the tiger save’s a human’s live and the one think that I can’t believe is how they communicate to one another. My least favorite part of the novel is when Pi and Richard Parker had food for some days and Pi almost died because he went to get food from him and Richard Parker the tiger.
I will recommend this book to any person of any age because this is not an age book. I will also recommend this book to boys and girls because any genre could read this book. I will also recommend this book to a person that likes to read adventures book and cools books.

Back to the future

All the boys Jack, Roger, Ralph, Maurice, Sam and Eric go to the same school and same classes and there 17 & 18 years old so there in High school and they went to High Tech High Media Arts. One time in lunch Jack and Roger were waiting in line and Ralph come to make a line to get his food. When it was Ralph turn to say his name Jack just turn around and remember like if it was yesterday when there were trying to kill Ralph in the island.

So Jack said, “are you Ralph that were in the island and that a kid was trying to kill you?”

Ralph with a confused face said, “how do you know that there were trying to kill me on the island?”

“Well one I'm in your class second you told the whole class that a kid was trying to kill you when you were 12 years old.”said Jack

“Oh yeah they were trying to kill me on an island and it was this white kid that always wanted to do what ever he wants in the island and his named was Jack Merridew. He thought that he was the best and that he had to be chief of the whole group when he couldn't even kill a stupid pig.” said Ralph

Jack with and angry face and voice said, “what you want to go or what I'm not that kid that you describe during class, and I did wanted to kill pigs because we were all hungry. I did wanted to kill you because you thought that I was not a good chief and that I was just a white kid and that I couldn’t take care of myself..”

“What” said Ralph “you are Jack Merridew?” with a confused face.

“Yes I’m Jack Merridew and I’m in your class with Roger, Maurice, You, Sam and Eric, and I. After 5 long years her we are in the same school in the United State isn’t this cool that we all go to the same school?”

Ralph with a mystery face said, “yeah is really cool that we are all in the same school don’t you think?”

“Yeah is really cool” said Jack and “what do you think about it Roger.”

“Well I think that is very good that we all are in the same school and the same classes because we all know each other for about 5 years and a half” said Roger.
“Yeah but 5 long years” said Ralph with a estrange face.

Next morning Ralph is walking from one side of the room to the other side of the room thinking how he is going to do something to Jack and Roger because they were the ones that killed Simon and Piggy. He also is thinking how he is going to kill Jack because he was trying to kill him in the island. Ralph is thinking how he is going to kill Jack with in Roger and Maurice not knowing.

“I got it I’m going to tell him I did his help on the homework and if he could come to my house to help me with my homework.”

In the afternoon there was Jack, Roger, and Maurice. There were talking about there homework and Ralph comes and tell Jack

“Hey Jack can you help me with my homework?”

“Yeah I could help you with the homework.” Said Jack

“But can you come to my house right now and we will take you home.” Said Ralph

Jack said “ok just let me grave my backpack and let’s go.”

Ralph calls Sam and Eric to pick them up so they go to the school to pick up Ralph and Jack. Ones they got to Ralph house Sam and Eric had everything ready so that they could kill Jack. Ones everyone got out of the car and got inside of Ralph’s house Sam and Eric knew there positions.

Ralph said, “Now get Jack”

So Sam and Eric got Jack and they said, “We got him bring the thing that he is going to drink now because he is very strong.”

Ralph went running to the kitchen and got the drink and he said “This is for everything that you did to Simon, Piggy, Sam and Eric and I. Now open you mouth and this is not going to be so hard if you don’t open your mouth.”

Jack said, “Go to hell you stupid kid.”

So Sam and Eric open his mouth and Said “Put it in now.”

Ralph put it the drink and after 5 second Jack was died.

THE OFFICER

Chapter # 11 & 12

The next morning, me and his few companions try to light the fire in the cold air, but the attempt is hopeless without Piggy's glasses. Piggy, squinting and barely able to see, suggests that Ralph hold a meeting to discuss their options. I blow the conch shell, and the boys who have not gone to join Jack's tribe assemble on the beach. They decide that their only choice is to travel to the Castle Rock to make Jack and his followers see reason. I decides to take the conch shell to the Castle Rock, hoping that it will remind Jack's followers of his former authority. Once at Jack's camp, however, my group encounters armed guards. I blow the conch shell, but the guards tell them to leave and throw stones at them, aiming to miss. Suddenly, Jack and a group of hunters emerge from the forest, dragging a dead pig. Jack and I immediately face off. Jack commands me to leave his camp, and I demands that Jack return Piggy's glasses.

Jack attacks me, and we fight. I struggles to make Jack understand the importance of the signal fire to any hope the boys might have of ever being rescued, but Jack orders his hunters to capture Sam and Eric and tie them up. This sends me into a fury, and he lunges at Jack. Me and Jack fight for a second time. Piggy cries out shrilly, struggling to make himself heard over the brawl. As Piggy tries to speak, hoping to remind the group of the importance of rules and rescue, Roger shoves a massive rock down the mountainside. Ralph, who hears the rock falling, dives and dodges it. But the boulder strikes Piggy, shatters the conch shell he is holding, and knocks him off the mountainside to his death on the rocks below. Jack throws his spear at me, and the other boys quickly join in. Iescapes into the jungle, and Roger and Jack begin to torture Sam and Eric, forcing them to submit to Jack's authority and join his tribe.

That night, I neaks down to the camp at the Castle Rock and finds Sam and Eric guarding the entrance. The twins give him food but refuse to join him. They tell him that Jack plans to send the entire tribe after him the next day. I hides in a thicket and falls asleep. In the morning, he hears Jack talking and torturing one of the twins to find out where I was hiding. Several boys try to break into the thicket by rolling a boulder, but the thicket is too dense. Suddenly, I look to see a naval officer standing over him. The officer tells the boy that his ship has come to the island after seeing the blazing fire in the jungle. Jack's hunters reach the beach and stop in their tracks upon seeing the officer.

The officer matter-of-factly assumes the boys are up to, as he puts it, “fun and games.” When he learns what has happened on the island, the officer is reproachful how could this group of boys, he asks—and English boys at that—have lost all reverence for the rules of civilization in so short a time? For his part, I was overwhelmed by the knowledge that he has been rescued, that he will escape the island after coming so close to a violent death. He begins to sob, as do the other boys. Moved and embarrassed, the naval officer turns his back so that the boys may regain their composure.

WE WERE ALL CHANTING AND DANCING

Chapter #9 & 10

We were all chanting and dancing in several separate circles along the beach, the boys are caught up in a kind of frenzy. Even Ralph and Piggy, swept away by the excitement, dance on the fringes of the group. All of the boys again reenact the hunting of the pig and reach a high pitch of frenzied energy as they chant and dance. Suddenly, we all see a shadowy figure creep out of the forest—it is Simon but we didn't knew that it was him. In their wild state, all of the us didn't recognize him. Shouting that he is the beast, the boys descend upon Simon and start to tear him apart with their bare hands and teeth. Simon tries desperately to explain what has happened and to remind them of who he is, but he trips and plunges over the rocks onto the beach. The boys fall on him violently and kill him.

At the Castle Rock, I rules with absolute power. Boys are punished for no apparent reason. I ties up and beats a boy named Wilfred and then warns the boys against Ralph and his small group, saying that they are a danger to the tribe. The entire tribe, including me, seems to believe that Simon really was the beast, and that the beast is capable of assuming any disguise. I states that they must continue to guard against the beast, for it is never truly dead. Then I said "me and two other hunters, Maurice and Roger, should raid Ralph's camp to obtain more fire and that they will hunt again tomorrow."

The boys at Ralph's camp drift off to sleep, depressed and losing in the signal fire. Ralph sleeps fitfully, plagued by nightmares. They are awakened by howling and shrieking and are suddenly attacked by a group of Jack's hunters. The hunters badly beat Ralph and his companions, who do not even know why they were assaulted, for they gladly would have shared the fire with the other boys. But Piggy knows why, for the hunters have stolen his glasses, and with them, the power to make fire.

TALKING to the "LORD OF THE FLIES"

Chapter #8

The next morning, the news of the monster had all of us in a state of uproar as they gather on the beach. Piggy, who was not on the mountain the night before, is baffled by the other boys' claims to have seen the monster. Jack seizes the conch shell and blows into it clumsily, calling for an assembly. Jack tells the others that there is definitely a beast on the mountain and goes on to claim that Ralph is a coward who should be removed from his leadership role. The other boys, however, refuse to vote Ralph out of power. Enraged, Jack storms away from the group, saying that he is leaving and that anyone who likes is welcome to join him. Then a littlun told Jack if he was going to dress DEMURE because his clothes were dirty.

Deeply troubled, Ralph does not know what to do and he said to him salf am I very DEMONIAC? Piggy, meanwhile, is thrilled to see Jack go, and Simon suggests that they all return to the mountain to search for the beast. The other boys are too afraid to act on his suggestion, however. Ralph slips into a depression, but Piggy cheers him up with an idea we should build a new signal fire, on the beach rather than on the mountain. Piggy's idea restores Ralph's hope that they will be rescued. The boys set to work and build a new fire, but many of them sneak away into the night to join Jack's group. Piggy tries to convince Ralph that they are better off without the deserters. Ralph said to Piggy " I PREFECT you than enyone else.

Before I got to my secrete place a kid came up to me and ask me if I like TABOO and I said "no"so he just said "ok" and he went runing to the beach. Just before Jack's tribe raids the beach, I slips away from the camp and returns to the jungle glade where he previously sat marveling at the beauty of nature. Now, he finds the sow's head impaled on the stake in the middle of the clearing. I sit alone in the clearing, staring with rapt attention at the impaled pig's head, which is now swarming with flies. The sight mesmerizes him, and it even seems as if the head comes to life. The head speaks to me in the voice of the “Lord of the Flies,” ominously declaring that I will never be able to escape him, for he lies within all human beings. He also promis to have some fun with me. Terrified and troubled by the apparition, I collapses in a faint. Then I PAUNCHED myself because I got mad at the “Lord of the Flies.”

THIS STUPID LITTLE KIDS

Chapter # 6 & 7

"Why do you want me to stay with the little ones I want to go to." I said. "No you can't go because you have to stay with the little ones and if you go with us then who is going to stay whit the little ones.?" he said. Ok what ever Ralph do what ever you want but just shut up because you are just saying stupid thing and I'm just going to stay with the little ones. Just leave now because then you guys aren't going to find the beast. Now I have some IMPERVIOUS things yo do just because of this little kids. "Everyone agree with me right? we should let Piggy with the little ones" Ralph said. Everybody agreed with Ralph SAGELY.

"Why does Ralph have to have a lot of DIFFIDENTLY if I was the one that gave him all the ideas when the airplane crashed.?" What in the world is this? I ask my self is it some sea birds GUANO'S. A little one came out of nowhere and said "yeah that a sea bird GUANO'S." I went to a tree and got a leafs from there and I took the sea birds GUANO'S from my shoe. What do you think that there should be doing over there? I ask a little kid. "Whll i thing that they should be looking for the beast or if there not doing that then they should be making a plan to hunt the beast" he said. "I could of being there but NO I have to take care of you gus and stay here like a stupid kid just asking question to little kids and taking care of them.

"Look there's comes Ralph, Jack, and Roger" I said. "I think that there running and there faces look like if the saw something scare" said a little kid. Ralph came saying. "Jack is involved in a really bad EMBROILED because he was the first one to see the beastie and he didn't told us to be silent's and the beastie was opening and closing he's mouth like if he was going to eat us." Jack said "well I never thought that Ralph and Roger were going to be so scare of the thing to fast so that's why I didn't told them to be silent's and they did got scare and that's why we run away from the mountain." "Ok we are going to go hunted the beastie tomorrow morning so that no one be scare no more." said Ralph.

THE BEAST FROM THE WATER

Chapter # 5

I don't believe. Piggy is very smart because he have very good ideas but no one is going to listen to him just because the way he. I think that I should be more like his friend because he have very goods ideas and with his ideas we can do better plans so we could be rescue. "If I want to become he's best friend I thing that I should help him more. Like I could agree with him more about what he said because if I agree with him everyone is going to do whatever I do or I say." I said. "Ok everyone we are in this assembly because the littluns are having nightmares about the beast and that they have seen some visions about it to." Then a littluns came out of nowhere and said I have seen the beast." When everyone was asking him some question he said "I think that the beast comes from the oceans at night." I was seen and hearing some littluns LAMENTATION because the little kid same some stuff about the beast.

"We are not going to build more shelters, we are not going to gather some drinking water and the only thing that we are going to care about is about the fire signal. we aren't even going to used the toilet area because I have come with the solution for these problems" I said. Then Jack said "your EFFIGY confused me and the only thing that I understand what you said I don't agree with you because I didn't enjoy the assembly and because me and my hunters are going to kill the beast." When everyone was living a littluns told Jack "Ralph have a lot of DECUM right."No shut up and pick walking" said Jack. Then everyone left with Jack and only me, Simon, and Piggy were left and at the distance we could see Jack and hid hunters dancing and talking. "What ever Jack is just been IUDICROUS." I said.

I said "Simon and Piggy come her I thing that I should relinquish leadership of the group." But Simon and Piggy said "No Ralph not do this because the boys need there guidance and that guidance is you Ralph don't do it." Then I DISCURSIVE and Simon and Piggy said "what did you said" and "I said nothing." Then when everyone went to sleep I hare a littluns LAMENTATION along the beach.

I WANT MEAT

Chapter # 3 & 4

Oh my god Ralph I don't like you Ralph you thing that I failed just because I didn't brought a pig down? yes said Ralph I'm piss of because you can't bring a pig down. So I just walk away and I keep saying I WANT MEAT, I WANT MEAT over and over. So I went to the place that all my hunters were and I told them I WANT MEAT and if we don't kill this pig in the next day Ralph in going to keep telling me that I'm a failed again and just because of that stupid pig. All my hunters said we are CONTRITE sorry about this Jack this well never happened again.

Simon came at of nowhere and said that we did some shelters for the little ones and Ralph agree with him. So Ralph said to me that he was going to take some of my hunters so that they could help him build the shelter because he only had Simon to help him and he was going to need a lot of people to build the shelters. I responded it with a BELLIGERENCE attitude, what are you talking about I need all of my hunters so we could go and kill the pig so we could eat meet because I WANT MEAT. So I gave a TENDRIL branch and said NO with a strong voice and I walk away from there because if I didn't walk away from there I knew that I was going to punch him in the face because I was very mad at him.

Eh you. Me yeah you come and pain me by back so we could go and kill the stupid pig. Is everyone ready to go and kill the stupid pig? I said. I told all my hunters we are going to the beach first because maybe there is one drinking water from there. Eh look Jack there id one right there said a hunter. Where I don't see him I said. It's there just how you said drinking water from the beach he said. Shut up them you might scare him I said. Lets surround him and we all jump to him at ones so we could kill it. Go! we all jump to him and I got him in his throw and my hand was all with blood. We all went running to tell everyone and I had the pig in my hands. The first one to see was Ralph and I told him I kill the pig I cut his throw and look at my hand it's all bloody because I cut his throw, but there were some VICISSITUDES by trying to get the pig. You let the fire go said Ralph. I killed the pig Ralph I said. There was ship her we could of been rescued. I kill the pig I said over and over but he didn't even care about it. You let the fire go he said again and I said, but I killed the pig and now we are going to eat Meet.

It was almost night time and we were eating the pig and when I saw all the meet I COMPULSION to eat everything it was in the table but I had to share to everyone. I saw Piggy that was at the table trying to get some food but I didn't let him and then Simon gave him so meet. Ralph said I want to have a meeting with everyone right now and that he didn't care if it was night.

TRYING TO BUILD A FIRE SIGNAL

Chapter # 2

"Yeah I think that we should used the conch for which ever person is talking has to have the conch or else no one has to be talking unless he/she have the conchs."I said. Then this kid name Piggy yells out that we have crash in this island and that we are going to be stuck in the island for a long time but no one listed to him. After that Piggy have talk a little kid that have a birth mark on his face and he said that he seen a beastie or a monster the night before. He also said that Ralph was the perfect example of someone filled with EBULLIENCE and always full of positive energy.

Then Ralph said to the little kid "everything is going to be all right ok and thank's about what you said a bout me" he said. Then Ralph got the conch and said "the whole group that is in the island should build a large fire signal at the top at the mountain so that we could be rescued more faster" he said. "Ok me, Simon, Jack and Piggy are going to go to the top of the mountain and we are going to star the fire signal" said Ralph. Jack took the specks from Piggy and Piggy said "eh you are not going to PINCH my glasses" "but we did them for the fire" said Jack. They got the fire going and Ralph, Jack, Me and Piggy stared to CAPERING and as son as the stop CAPERING the fire quickly died down. We all were looking at a tree and there was the little kid that said that he saw the beastie.

Then Ralph went running to the little kid and he saw his face and his face look like if we was MARTYRED so much. Then Piggy said " that was the same boy that said that he saw the beastie tlinebefore and he was playing over by the fire and now he is missing." We where all shocked and you could see that Ralph was struck with shame. We all went back were all of the kids were and we acted like if nothing had happened. When we got to the place that everyone was he hear a littluns saiyng to another littluns that he didn't like his shoes and he was making a RECRIMINATION because he was bad at him.

AIRPLANE CRASH!!!!!!

Chapter # 1

Oh my god, the airplane just crashed and I was in the back of the plane. We all got of the airplane and I was trying to talk to this kid named Ralph. I was trying to talk to Ralph until we got the the beach. This beach is so clear as a water bottle and you could see the corals that were in the water. Then me and Ralph saw something in the water and it was a conch it was a very rare shell. Me and Ralph chose to use the conch when ever someone is talking or speaking so that everyone pay attention who ever is talking. I proffer to used the conch first but Ralph didn't let me used it.

I gave Ralph some ideas and he shown to everyone and all of them chose that he should be the chief because everything that he said was Effulgence. A little kid got up and said "you said this in a very good Intricacies". I got so piss at and I told him that why did he told that he got that Info. from him self when he got it from me. He said "well I was just telling them stuff and they just choice me out of nowhere." "Ok shut up Ralph you are just saying stupid things" I said. I just walk away from him and I thought in my mine. I should try to be like the mother so that I could help others and I could be the chief if I'm good to all of them. When I saw that Ralph,Siomon, and Jack were going to go and explored the island i told them if I could go and they that that I had to stay and take care of the littluns.

I saw this good branch and I put it on and I was wearing a brown togs in the island. When we where talking and Simon came in everyone star it to Snigger. When Ralph,Simon, and Jack came back from exploring the island. Ralph and Simon where making fun of Jack because he couln't kill a pig that they saw on the way back of exploring the island they saw a pig stuck in the creepers. That the excused of Jack was that the pig run away. But what Ralph and Simon said was that Jack couldn't bring himself to kill it. Jack said "nest time that I see a pig he is going to be dead."
